Tails and Tales! Summer Reading

Summer reading program for every age, preschool through adult

The Summer reading program begins on June 14 and ends on July 31. 

The program is for everyone living in our district, or eligible to check out items from our Library. 

This year, due to the pandemic,you may register online.  All reading logs are also available online.  The links are on the right side of the home page. 

We have paper logs that you may take home to keep track of your reading at home, if you are unable to log your books online.  Please call to register for the program if you are not able to do it online.

You will need a 14 digit barcode to log in to the database.  Please call the Library if you need that number.

Closing early on Sept. 12

The Library will be closing at

4 PM on Monday, September 12.

Michigan Activity Pass

Free or discounted access to hundreds of Michigan's state parks, historic sites, cultural attractions, campgrounds and recreation areas.

Library Board Meeting

The Library Board of the Eau Claire District Library meets on the 2nd Monday of each month, at 1 PM.  The meeting is open to the public.

Annual Reading Challenge 2022

You may click on the link below to add the books that you've read to an online form.  You may also pick up a paper form at the library.

The Annual Reading Challenge runs from January 3 through December 31, 2022.

All ages are welcome to participate.
